Dawn is a very compassionate counselor. I feel fortunate to be a part of Hands Up. Dawn provides a safe environment where I feel comfortable working on issues that I have never been able to confront. She is genuine and inspirational and it shows throughout our group and our success, and even our ability to address our shortcomings. I am truly honored to have learned so much from Dawn. She is knowledgeable about Historical Trauma and how it affected the Native American Community. She understands the importance of maintaining traditional values and implementing them in groups while utilizing Western philosophies. Echo is a wonderful counselor who genuinely cares for her students wellbeing. She was really understanding and helpful when I was in a particularly rough patch grieving two of my family members.

I have to say that recovery in general is not an easy thing. And though it is a rough road through the Journey the destination is totally worth it. The coping skills and therapy sessions prove to be very beneficial for me personally, and I can honestly say at this point that I have achieved complete sobriety no drugs no alcohol and no nicotine thank you hands up and to Echo and her staff!
